The Sexuality and Erotica area addresses any aspect of the human sexual experience and erotica in any form (literary, visual, theatrical, photographic, etc). Scholars use interdisciplinary approaches to explore cultural, scientific, and artistic elements of sexuality, both as it is practiced and as it is conceived by individuals, groups, and societies.
This area also includes proposals that examine the intersections of sexuality with other forms of difference— including race, class, ethnicity, gender, and disability. We welcome research from all theoretical and methodological viewpoints.
