Professional development addresses the skills and knowledge for both personal and professional development related to your career. Professional development sessions support many types of learning, such as: formal pedagogical methods, publishing research and scholarship, interviewing, how to be successful in the workplace, how to have work accepted at conferences, working inside and outside the academy, and mentoring opportunities. There are a variety of approaches to sharing professional development, including roundtable discussions, panels, formal lectures, and media.
